Ford Figo 2015 MY To Be Unveiled At Auto Expo
Ford Figo was a well received hatchback upon launch in India. Over the years though the car has lost its sheen owing to its outdated design, which was faelifted in 2012 and it is reflected in its low volume sales these days. A much needed upgrade is on its way though.
The next gen Ford Figo, also sold as Ka in other markets including South America, has been revealed in concept form in Brazil. In its concept guise the 2015 model year Ka reveals what is to become the next-gen Figo that will be launched in India either late next year or early 2015.

The 2015 Ford Figo fill follow the automaker's global design philosophy constituting of the Aston Martin like front grille, a redesigned headlamps (the LED units seen in the ka concept is unlikely to make it to production), new bumpers and wrap around tail lamp design, which mimics the design seen in Ford EcoSport and the new Fiesta hatchback.

The new Ford Figo has been codenamed B562 and will be built on the B2E platform, which it will share with the EcoSport. The same platform will also spawn a Figo based compact sedan that will replace Ford Classic.

The 2015 Ford Figo will also receive major mechanical changes, with the introduction of the 1.0 liter EcoSport turbo petrol and the 1.5 liter TDCI turbo diesel.

The 2015 Figo be manufactured at Ford's upcoming Sanand plant at Gujarat. Competitive pricing, the EcoSport engine and a modern design should put the spark back in Ford hatchback.
