Nissan shocks the world again by revealing the all-new crossover icon 'Qashqai'. The reinvented model has been unveiled during a thrilling 3D social media digital mapping show in London, UK. Nissan was the first to upswing into the crossover segment in 2007.
The Qashqai crossover was the most sought after model a few years ago. Nissan in a short span of time, managed to get more than 2.0 million customers and was soon followed by scores of imitators.
Nissan's Qashqai captivates both C-segment drivers in search for additional style, technology and excitement, as well as downsizing buyers in pursuit of greater efficiency. Nissan will roll-out the Qashqai in selected global markets from 2014. We can expect premium technology, second generation crossover design and enhanced dynamics from the all-new Qashqai.

The new Qashqai is based on the new CMF (Common Module Family) Renault-Nissan Alliance platform, which is targetted to deliver outstanding engineering efficiencies to the consumer.

Design
The 2014 Qashqai has a bold design and remarkable attention to detail. The second generation Qashqai is 20mm wider, 49mm longer and 15mm lower than the current model.
Striking design features that caught our attention was a raised bonnet line, LED daytime running lights and muscular wheel-arches. You would also have the option to choose from 19-inch alloys wheels.

Chassis
This second-generation crossover is built on a new modular platform that has been tailored specifically for the all-new Qashqai.
In terms of drive types, the 2014 Qashqai will be offered in Two-wheel-drive and ALL-MODE 4x4.
The Chassis Control system on both two and four-wheel drive versions will feature Active Ride Control, Active Engine Brake, Active Trace Control and Hill Start Assist.

Interior
The Qashqai's cabin is all about comfort, connectivity and control. Let's not forget Nissan has more experience in the crossover sector than any other marque and this is clearly defined in the new model.
The car's numerous comfort, convenience and safety systems have been kicked-around and redesigned to give the driver easy access to all key controls.
The new meter display which is located between the analogue speedometer and tachometer displays each menu accurately, and is controlled by steering wheel mounted switches.

Seats
The second-generation Qashqai is said to take comfort to a whole new level for passengers.
Nissan engineers have used medical scanning techniques and were inspired by NASA to analyze pressure and blood flow in the lower back of seated passengers. The result is a seat that delivers long-distance comfort.

Bootspace
Moving to bootspace, you soon get the feeling no area of the car's interior was overlooked in the pursuit of increased flexibility and better practicality.
The boot has a luggage capacity of 430 litres with the rear seats in position - an improvement of 20 litres over the outgoing Qashqai.
