Maruti Suzuki, the leading Indian carmaker has now decided to make amends by working an a refreshed new SX4 sedan. Maruti Suzuki is reportedly developing this new car under the project name YL1 in its Manesar plant.
The new SX4 which competes against the likes of the Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sunny would need a major style update and that is what Maruti Suzuki is dealing with right now. The refreshed new SX4 is expected to get a brand new front fascia with a different grille and other headlights. The rear design will be similar to the Kizashi premium sedan we are told.
The new SX4's interiors will also be different with new look and feel and additional features. There will be changes in the dashboard too. In a first for a Maruti car, the top end variant of the SX4 is expected to get a satnav as standard. Such new features will help the new SX4 compete well against the existing mid size sedans.
There are no updates regarding the powertrains in the refreshed new SX4. We do not expect any changes in either the 1.3-litre diesel engine as well as the 1.6-litre petrol engine.
