Mitsubishi India Discontinues Cedia, Lancer Evo X

It seems production of Cedia had been stopped quite some time back and only the remaining inventory was being emptied. The same applies to the Evolution X, which was imported as completely knocked down kit. India was among the last countries in which Cidea was being sold. While the Evolution X, no in its 10th generation, is still sold globally. Unlike the Cidea, however, the Evo X will continuing evolving in overseas market. The next gen Evo-X will most like to come fitted with a hybrid system. In India though, the road ends here.
Both cars are legends in their own rights, the Evo X more so. Both are accomplished rally cars, having won races across the world, driven by teams from various countries. The Evo X, with its 2.0 liter turbo engine producing 292 HP and 366 Nm, distributed to all fours via a 6 speed automatic and packed with electronics, offered the best bang for the buck.
While both were niche models without doubt, they still have a strong demand within their niche fan base. We will miss these cars, which personified the true joy of driving.
