Mercedes Benz E 63 AMG India Launch On July 25
Its confirmed. The stunning 2014 Mercedes Benz E 63 sedan wearing the AMG badge will debut in India on July 25. The performance sedan, appearing for the first time ever in India, will rival the recently launched Audi RS5 and the upcoming S6.
Merc will import the E 63 AMG as a completely built unit and will be everything that is expected of an AMG tuned model. A perfect combination of luxury and performance, the E 63 AMG will be the fifth new Mercedes model this year and the first AMG one.
Unlike the regular E Class saloon, the E 63 AMG gets its power from a 5.5 liter V8 mill fitted with a turbocharger. The engine puts out a massive 557 HP and 720 Nm of torque.
The performance sedan comes with Mercedes 4Matic all wheel drive system and 7 speed Speedshift automatic transmission.
In Europe Mercedes also offers the E 63 AMG in a ‘S' variant, which, without having to say, offers even greater performance.
The engine output goes up to 585 HP and torque to 800 Nm. While the E 63 AMG can reach 100km/h in 4.2 seconds, the ‘S' variant achieves the same in supercar time of 3.6 seconds.
Expect the Mercedes E 63 AMG to be priced in the same range as its Audi counterpart, nearing the INR 1 crore mark. It needs to be seen whether India will get the E 63 AMG S.
