Mercedes Benz A-Class India Launch Tomorrow
After the launch of the GL-Class earlier this month Mercedes Benz is all set to launch its next major offering this month - A Class hatchback. A Class, being targeted at the younger crowd in India, will be the German auto giants least expensive model in the country.
Mercedes Benz A Class will be offered in two engine variants, a 1.6 liter petrol rated at 120 HP and 200 Nm and a 1.5 liter diesel engine rated at 108 HP and 260 Nm. Buyers will be able to choose between a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed DCT automatic transmission.
Upon launch the new baby Merc will have to face tough competition not just from the upcoming BMW 1 Series hatch, but also the Volvo V40 Cross Country, both of which will be available in the same price band.
