McLaren MP4-12C 50 Anniversary Edition Special
McLaren 50 12C and 5012C Spyder are limited edition models announced by the British automaker as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Availability will be limited to just 50 units each for the coupe and Spyder and will come with several enhancements made by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division.
MSO is the department that takes care of bespoke upgrades requested by customers. To the McLaren 50 limited edition models MSO adds several visual and functional upgrades foremost of which is the redesigned front end taken from the HS Edition models. Carbon fiber and GT car inspired carbon Kevlar air splitter parts enhance the aerodynamic capabilities of the car.
McLaren 50 12C and 12C Spyder models are available for £196,000 (INR 1.6 crore) and £215,500 (INR 1.8 crore) respectively. Images and details in the gallery below.
Bonnet features a ‘McLaren' badge, an MSO signature that comes on all its works.
Carbon ceramic disc brakes are standard for enhanced stopping power.
19 and 20 inch Ultra Lightweight wheels on the front and back respectively replace Super Lightweight wheels, which are 2kg lighter.
‘McLaren 50' branding seen on the sill plates and carpet. Driver side front door sports a number plate advertising the limited run. Interior is covered in rich leather upholstery.
McLaren 50 limited edition available in Carbon Black, Supernova Silver or McLaren Orange colours. Buyers also get a special edition black and silver cover, a limited edition key in a carbon fiber key box and special prints signed by McLaren Automotive design director, Frank Stephenson.
