Mahindra XUV500 Sets Limca Record: Fastest Car From Kanyakumari to Leh
Mahindra XUV500, the company's flagship SUV, has earned a new badge of honour. That of being the fastest four wheeler to travel between the southern and northern tips of India.
Mahindra XUV500 secured a place in the Limca Book of Records by covering a distance of 3,997 kilometers, from Kanyakumari to Leh in 62 hours and 20 minutes. The new record has been recorded under the Fastest South-North Four-wheeler Expedition category in the Limca Book of Records.
The successful record attempt was made by a four member team of Zuzur Tinwalla, Jyoti P Bhattacharjee, Anshuman Kakar and Neeraj Rastogi, all of whom are Standard Chartered bank employees. They set off on the expedition on September 30, 2013 and reached Leh in Jammu & Kashmir on October 3, surpassing the previous record by 10 hr 27 min.
