Mahindra Launches XUV500 In Nepal; Million Like it
The XUV500, Mahindra & Mahindra's flagship SUV model was launched in September 2011. Since then this international product has received love not just from Indian buyers, but also from people around the world. Now, after around 16 months since its launch the XUV500's Facebook page has accumulated more than 10 lakh ‘Likes'. Coinciding with this milestone was the launch of the XUV500 for the people of Nepal. Launched locally by Agni Incorporated, the new showroom and service center will be run by Balazu Auto Works.
The Nepali spec XUV500 is same as the Indian spec and will be powered by the same 140 HP, 330 Nm torque, 2.2 liter nMawk engine, along with the six speed manual gearbox. Nepal will get the W6 2WD, W8 2WD and the W8 all wheel drive models. Colour options provided will be Satin White, Tuscan Red, Opulent Purple, Neptune Blue, Moondust Silver, Volcano Black and Dolphin Grey.
Mahindra XUV500, which will imported to Nepal, will cost NPR 5.3 million, 5.85 million and 6.15 million for the respective models or ~ INR 33 lakhs, 58 lakhs and 61 lakhs respectively - considerably more than its Indian price tag.
