Mahindra Verito To Get Garmin Navigation System
Mahindra Verito's top end Executive edition variant will come with Garmin's navigation hardware installed in them. Garmin, the world's leading automobile sat nav hardware manufacturer, had earlier said that it would be make its Personal Navigation Devices (PND) available as part of Maruti Genuine Accessories (MGA). Garmin's Nuvi 40LM sat nav system will be provided with Verito Executive Edition.
"This is our effort to make sure that Indian people should get assistance of world class technology during travels. We expect that such partnership will help us achieve our target of making travel safer and easier for the people by improving the in-car and driving experience of Indian car owners," said Daniel Chien, senior manager, Garmin Corporation.

At present Garmin sell its Nuvi 40LM and Nuvi 50LM devices in India, which are priced at Rs. 8450 and Rs. 9990 respectively. The 40LM has a display that measures 4.3 inches, while the 50LM measures 5.0 inches. Buying one of these automatically provides you with Free Lifetime Map Support.
Other notable features include voice guidance in various Indian languages such as Hindi, Indian English, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali and Oriya, map coverage of 4214 cities at street level, along with 7.3 million points of interest, text-to-speech translation of street names in Indian accent, house search, lane information, high sensitivity receiver and highway mode.
Lastly, since a significant number of Indians go to South East Asian countries for holidaying the Garmin sat nav systems also come with NavTeq powered maps of Singapore and Malaysia.
