Mahindra Scorpio Special Edition Gets Teased On Facebook
It is that time of the year when millions of Indians get together with family, gorge on sweets and special food and get a break from their daily hectic schedule. It also happens to be the time of the year when automakers come out with special offers and ‘limited edition' models of their cars to entice buyers.
The latest one comes from Mahindra & Mahindra. The Indian automaker has released a teaser image of a partially unveiled ‘Scorpio special edition'. Details have not been provided and all it says is it's ‘coming soon'.
Never-the-less, let us try to pick up some hints from the image we have. The image of the car behind the veil looks exactly the same as the special edition Scorpio that was revealed in 2010, the one seen in the image below. The chequered flag decals, the chrome wheels and the blacked out under guard proves it beyond doubt.
From this we infer that the upcoming special edition will be the same as the one from 2010, with only the car being current-gen. Also, looking at the background used in the teaser, we come to the conclusion there will be plenty of leather cover on the inside. Special edition models in India almost never get a souped up engine upgrade, hence that is ruled out as well.
So, there you have it. Your festive season special edition Scorpio will be announced soon and if you are planning to buy one and do not mind paying a slight premium this would be the right season to do so.
