Mahindra Among World's Top 50 Innovative Companies

Mahindra Group's Reva Electric Vehicles division has been listed in ‘Fast Company' magazine's "Top 50 Most Innovative Companies of 2013" list. Mahindra's Reva EV has been recognized for its "innovative contributions" to the global EV industry and comes 22nd in the list of companies. Some of the other top global companies that feature in the list include Nike, Apple, Google and Samsung. Mahindra Reva is the only Indian company to be named in the list.

Fast Company magazine takes into consideration technology, business and design while creating these lists and finalizes the top companies from a list of thousands, based on creativity, real-world impact, risk taking, and execution.

Incidentally, Mahindra Reva is at present, working towards introducing the next generation of electric vehicles - the E2O. Fast Company also mentioned the E2O, mentioning its smartphone powered ‘Emergency Electric Boost' feature as the "coolest" in the car.

Founded as a joint venture between Maini Group of Bangalore and AEV LLC of USA. in 1994 under the name Reva Electric Car Company, it is now a part of Mahindra Group's US $15.9 billion business, after it acquired a majority stake in Reva in 2010. Besides India, Reva EVs are also popular in the U.K where it was introduced in 2004.
