Mahindra Reva e2o Pricing Details Revealed

Mahindra Reva e2o might save you a lot of money on fuel. However, buying one will be an expensive business. When Mahindra launched the e2o in Delhi a couple of days back, the price revealed was INR 5.96 lakh, which was the on-road price for the base model in the city. However, the on-road price in every other Indian state will be more than this.

This is because the Delhi state government provides a significant amount of subsidy on electric vehicles. These comes in the form of 15 percent subsidy on the base price, a 12.5 percent VAT refund and a 50 percent discount on road tax. The top variant costs INR 6.24 lakhs in Delhi on road.

In comparison, other states have fewer or no subsidy for electric cars. For example, in Bangalore, Reva e2o's home city, the vehicle will have a starting price of INR 6.50 lakhs, which goes up to INR 6.83 lakhs. This is because the only subsidy the Karnataka government provides for electric cars is through the reduction of road tax from 12.5 percent to 5.5 percent.
