Mahindra Reva Charging Station Now At Gopalan Mall
Did you know Bangalore has the largest number of electric vehicles in India? Well, it does and this number now has a reason to raise faster, thanks to the strong electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the city.
Quite naturally, the only electric car one would find in Bangalore is the Reva and the fleet of now has a total of 100 electric charging points across the city, set up by Mahindra. The manufacturer has now partnered with Gopalan Mall to set up charging stations in all of its malls across the city, the first of which was inaugurated in Gopalan Mall, Old Madras Road. Other charging stations in the city are located in State Bank of India branches, numerous local automotive garages, M&M Dealerships, Mom & ME retail outlets and now Gopalan Mall. Mahindra says customers will have access to at least one charging station every 5 km.
Chetan Maini, Founder and Chief of Strategy & Technology, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, said, "There will be increased acceptance of Electric Cars in the country, particularly in the metros with Bengaluru taking the lead. Mahindra Reva is committed to offer comprehensive EV infrastructure to the city well before the roll out of our first e2o."
Commenting on the initiative, R. Chandramouli, Chief of Operations at Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, said, "We are happy to partner with Gopalan Malls and appreciate their belief in our vision of the future of mobility. Facilitating charging points at shopping malls will help customers charge cars while they are away shopping at the mall. We welcome all shopping malls and corporates to be a part of our journey to offer sustainable mobility solutions and support us in making Bengaluru's EV infrastructure one of the best in the world."
