Mahindra Monsoon Challenge 2013 Kickstarts
Mahindra Adventure has started the 3rd edition of Mahindra ‘Monsoon Challenge in association with Apollo Tyres. The TSD (time, speed, distance) rally is one of the Challenge series of motorsport events held by the leading Indian SUV manufacturer.
The event started in Bangalore and more 30 participating Mahindra vehicles will travel through Mangalore, Shimoga & Goa, covering a total distance of more than 1000 kms in 3 days. The winning teams will go home with a total prize money of Rs. 13 lakhs.

July 24, 2013, Bengaluru: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India's leading SUV manufacturer, kick started the Monsoon Challenge 2013 in association with Apollo Tyres. It promises to be one of the biggest TSD (time, speed, distance) rallies with the most rewarding prize money on offer. The Monsoon Challenge 2013, currently in its third season, will see participation from over 30 vehicles, from the Mahindra stable, maneuvering the challenging route of more than 1000 kms in 3 days.
Held under the Mahindra Adventure umbrella, it is a part of the Challenge series of motorsport events that was launched in 2011. A unique concept, as the name suggests, TSD rallies are not only about speed. The driver and the navigator are expected to keep a track of time in tandem with the distance covered. The Monsoon Challenge 2013 promises to be one of India's biggest TSD (time, speed, distance) rallies, which will start from the IT capital of the country - Bengaluru. The rally will make its way through Mangalore, Shimoga to the party capital of the country - Goa. En route, the participants will navigate highways, B roads and stretches of rough road, with the magnificent Western Ghats as the backdrop. With total prize money worth Rs. 13 lakh on offer, it is by far one of the highest amounts for any motorsport event in India. This competitive rally is being organized exclusively for Mahindra owners. The event has also been duly approved by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).
