Mahindra & SAE India Announce 7th Edition Of BAJA SAEINDIA 2014
Mahindra in association with Society of Automobile Engineers India has announced the dates for BAJA SAE India 2014. The 7th edition of India's very own off road automobile battle fought between students.
BAJA SAE India is a series in which participating students from across India are required to design and build their very own off-road automobiles, that compete against each other in a final showdown.
This year more than 300 teams registered out of which 125 teams have qualified for the final round. The final round will be held at NATRIP facility at Pithampur near Indore from February 20 till Feb 23 2014, where the off-road buggies, developed by the students will take part in various challenges.
The theme for the 7th edition of BAJA SAE India is ‘RAISE THE BAR'. The theme for the 6th edition of BAJA series was ZERO Tolerance which focused on 100% compliance to the rule book.
The BAJA SAE India series is targeted towards providing a platform for students to showcase their talents, known-how and to improve their skills related to automobiles. The series covers a wide variety of automotive related aspects ranging from designing, execution, vehicle construction techniques and most of all, passion for automobiles.
Speaking on the 7th edition of the BAJA SAEINDIA event, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director & President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra said, "Over the years, BAJA has grown in popularity and has become a bigger event nationally signifying its increasing popularity.
