Lykan Hypersport Gets 100+ Orders Within A Week

Lykan Hypersport, the Arab super car from W Motors has emerged as a block buster for the carmaker despite its expensive price of $3.4 million. The Lykan Hypersport was unveiled at the Qatar Motor Show only in the end of January and within a week it has received ore than 100 bookings.

The Lykan Hypersport's bookings have mostly come from local Arabs. W Motors had initially planned only to build seven units of the Lykan Hypersport. But looking at the tremendous response to Lykan, the carmaker is expected to build more numbers of this Arab super car.

W Motors chairman and CEO Ralph Debbas has stated that the first few buyers of the Lykan Hypersport will be Arabs. He added that the company had received orders from countries such as Russia, China and the US.

The Lykan Hypersport will be built in a plant in Turin Italy during the initial phase. Production is expected to move completely to Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha.

The Lykan is powered by a mid-rear, flat-six, twin-turbo engine that generates an incredible 750bhp and 1000NM of torque. The Lykan can accelerate to 100kmph from 0 in 2.8 seconds and then move on to a top speed of 395kmph.
