Jeep Wrangler Does The Classic Willy CJ-3A Proud, Ploughs A Field
The word ‘Jeep' is, in some parts of the world, including India, still synonymous with SUVs of all kinds. Be it a Mahindra Thar or a Scorpio. You may not find a person calling a Land Rover Defender a Jeep in cities or towns, but in some parts where there is less exposure, we are sure even a Defender would be generalized as a ‘Jeep'. This only goes to show the impression the iconic Classic Willys Jeep had on minds of a whole generation of people.
Here is a fun fact which we doubt you know. After WWII Jeep had to find a use for its Willys. The vehicle's off roading capabilities and ruggedness provided an easy option. Jeep started selling them to farmers and the war veteran now took to plowing fields in retirement. Just like some of its early owners.
Fast forward several decades and the Jeep has lost some of its old status, but is still considered a very capable off-roader. It has even spread its reach outside North America looking for new markets. The modern Jeep will me making its entry into India for the first time later this year as well.
