Jaguar Land Rover UK Sales Breaks Record
Acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover was perhaps the best move ever made by Tata Motors. Not only did that decision result in the resurrection of the iconic UK automobile brands, it is now helping the loss making Tata Motors keep its head above water by posting record sales globally.
While Tata Motors has been registering a loss, JLR UK witnessed record sales during the month of September 2013. The automaker scored a record 13 percent growth in sales year-to-date over the same period last year, with sale of 13,950 units. Of which 3,181 unit sales came from Jaguar and the remaining 10,769 units sales from Land Rover.

Land Rover Evoque saw the highest growth, with a 35 percent increase in sales, followed by Defender (30 percent) and the new Range Rover (24 percent). Just two weeks into customer delivery 1,309 units of the new Range Rover out on the streets.
On the other hand, the Jaguar F-Type is doing extremely well, with over 1,000 units sold in UK alone, resulting in a 19 percent growth. This was followed by XF (12 percent) and XJ (6 percent).

Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director, said "The September sales figures tangibly demonstrate that both Jaguar and Land Rover continue to focus on relevant and highly-desirable product line-ups.
"With the recent introduction of the all-new Range Rover Sport and F-TYPE coupled with the continued success of our well established models, we have seen more new customers than ever purchasing Jaguar Land Rover award-winning products. Indeed, our new 2014 model year offerings across both brands will be hitting showrooms shortly and will see us build on the successes of the 2013 range."
