Jaguar F-Type Coupe Launch At LA Auto Show
Jaguar has teased the F-Type coupe with this top view image. The all-aluminium F-Type with a roof will be launched by the british automaker at the Los Angeles Motor Show on November 19. The car will once again be launched on November 20th at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The introduction of the Jaguar F-Type coupe has been long awaited. The usual practice followed by automakers is to develop a coupe which is then followed by a convertible by chopping off the roof and strengthening the body.

Jaguar went the otherway around with the F-Type. The convertible came first at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The F-Type convertible is offered with two engine options - V6 and V8 and comes in three variants.
335 HP V6, 375 HP supercharged V6 and 488 HP supercharged V8. The engines are mated to 8 speed automatic transmission. In India, only the latter two variants are on offer, starting at INR 1.37 crores.
The F-Type is based on the C-X16 concept which Jaguar showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The F-Type Coupe will not differ a lot from the concept and will come powered by the same engines.
The F-Type coupe will better the convertible when it comes to performance thanks to the all-aluminium body and better rigidity. The most powerful convertible F-Type, the supercharged V8 engined variant can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km/h
Rumor also has it that Jaguar will unveil a more powerful version of the F-Type coupe sporting a new engine as well.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, stated, "The excitement generated when we revealed the C-X16 concept was terrific; so to now be on the cusp of what I can assure you will be a drama-filled reveal event in Los Angeles for F-TYPE Coupé is a very significant moment.
"We've been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to F-TYPE Convertible, but for me the purity of creating a sports Coupé is a uniquely satisfying process - and I know that both visually and dynamically, F-TYPE Coupé raises the bar yet again."
