Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Hypercar Driven By Autocar
Back in 2010 at the Paris Auto Show Jaguar showcased a hybrid concept car which promised a performance level to match the Bugatti Veyron, while leaving behind a carbon footprint of a Toyota Prius hybrid car! Later in 2011 it was confirmed that a limited 250 units would be produced. All this sounded too good to be true.
Sadly, it was. Late in 2012 Jaguar told the world that due to monetary constraints and the global economic state it had cancelled the C-X75 project. It was a truly disappointing moment for everyone looking forward to a car like non other in existence.
Jaguar has now, for whatever reason, put together a few of these C-X75s and given Autocar a chance to drive one in Gaydon, UK. So, what makes the Jaguar C-X75 so special you ask? Here is just one amazing fact from a whole list. The hybrid car has a tiny 1.6 liter engine (the same displacement as a Hyundai Verna's engine). But this one can deliver a crazy 502 HP! More such interesting facts about the amazing Jaguar C-X75 await you in the video below. Am sure by the end of the video you'll share our sentiments about this stunning British marvel that will never be produced.
