Hyundai India Hikes Prices Across Model Line

Hyundai Motor India has hiked the prices of all existing four wheeler models offered in the country with immediate effect. The price hike corresponding each model and variant is as follows:

Eon Petrol: Rs 2,500
Santro Petrol: Rs 2,830
i10 Petrol: Rs 600-900
i20 Petrol/Diesel: Rs 575
Verna Petrol/Diesel: Rs 1,340
Elantra Petrol/Diesel: Rs 1,740
Sonata Petrol: Rs 2,813
Santa Fe Diesel: Rs 2,813

Hyundai Motor India hikes prices

New Delhi, April 1, 2013: Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), the country's largest passenger car exporter and second largest car manufacturer today announced the price increase on across all its models starting from Eon to Santa Fe.

Commenting on the price hike, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Vice President, Sales and marketing said, "The price increase was necessitated due to On Board Diagnostic Compliance Changes (OBDC). We have increased the prices in the range of Rs.575 to Rs.2,830 across all the models. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimize the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers."

The price increase across all the models would come with immediate effect i.e. April 1, 2013.
