Hyundai i10 Grand Update: Engine, Variants, Mileage, & More
Launch of Hyundai i10 Grand is set to take place on September 3rd. Meanwhile, the company has not come out with any official details of its own. But since dealers already seem to have received demo models details of the vehicle have started trickling out.
It is being reported that a few dealers have already started accepting pre-bookings. Since these are unofficial, bookings are reportedly being made against the i10 which will later be transferred to i10 Grand.
Positioned between i10 and i20, rival cars that are likely to fall into the same price bracket as i10 Grand are Ritz, Wagon R and Micra/Pulse. Expected variants are Era, Magna, Sports, Asta and Asta, with the same 1.2 liter Kappa2 petrol and 1.1 liter diesel engines already on offer with its siblings.
Although the engines are expected to be in a different state of tune, generating more power than they do in the i10. The petrol will reportedly provide 82 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque, while the diesel will generate 70 Hp and 156 Nm.
Besides the 5 speed manual a 4 speed automatic is also likely to be on offer for the petrol. Reports suggest mileage returned would be 18.9 km/l for the manual and 16 km/l for the automatic. But the most efficient would be the diesel, with a rumored figure of 24 km/l.
While at this stage details are speculative and based on dealer information confirmation will only come on launch day next week.
