Honda Urban SUV In Production Guise Revealed In Patent Drawings
When virtually every manufacturer is introducing compact SUVs all across the the world Honda could not be left far behind. In fact, the Japanese automaker did reveal a small concept vehicle, the Urban SUV at the Detroit Motor Show early this year. The same vehicle, either in concept or production form will be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show on November 20.
The chances of it being a production model seem to be more likely mainly due to recent patent sketches of the final version of the Honda Urban SUV which were leaked online by JokeForBlog.

These images reveal a design that hasn't strayed much from its concept form. The notable changes are few and subtle. Such as the headlights, which only slightly differ from those seen on the larger CR-V. In fact, from some angles the Urban SUV looks like a miniature CR-V to us.
The front grille follows Honda's new Exciting H Design, which debuted with the new Jazz. The rear door handle placement on the window sill, as seen on the Chevy Beat, hides it from clear view, giving the vehicle a neat look.

The 2014 Jazz has more in common with the Urban SUV than what's seen on the outside. The compact SUV will share its platform with the Jazz hatchback, which will make it cost effective for Honda to manufacturer in various countries.
That's right, the Urban SUV is a world car, meaning it will be on sale in the Americas, Europe and Asian countries, including India, much like the Ford EcoSport. The Urban SUV is, however, expected to be slightly longer and more spacious than Ford's crossover.

Honda Urban SUV is expected to arrive in India before the end of 2014, with pricing on par with Nissan Terrano, Toyota Innova and top end variants of the EcoSport.
