Honda Odyssey Gets World's First In Car Vacuum
This 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite trim offers HondaVAC as a standard feature, which is the name of the world's first in car vacuum system. The 2014 Honda Odyssey has made it's debut at the New York International Auto Show.
"The Odyssey is already the leader in its segment, and for 2014, Honda has made the modern family hauler even better," said Michael Accavitti, vice president of marketing operations at American Honda. "Honda is once again showcasing its reputation for innovation with HondaVAC, and its ability to provide true value to our customers."

The HondaVAC vacuum system was developed with the help of Shop-Vac, an industry leader in vacuum systems.

The built-in vacuum system is integrated in the left wall of the Odyssey's rear cargo space and consists of a powerful vacuum, a replaceable filter and a canister bag, along with different nozzle attachments.

The extended suction tube is capable of reaching every nook and cranny of Odyssey's cabin space and its powerful motor makes cleaning the car the easiest of chores.

Honda VAC is powered by the vehicle's engine, hence does not require external electric outlet to power it. However, even without the engine running the vacuum works for up to eight minutes.
