There is always the question of what is the best choice when it comes down to a petrol car and a diesel car? In the current scenario we would definitely lean towards a petrol car. We look at how the demand for petrol passenger cars are steadily increasing.

Diesel has recently witnessed a price hike of Rs 5 in September, 2012 and a proposed hike of Rs 10 will soon be carried out.

Drivespark expects the demand in petrol cars to rise-up in the coming days. In the past that was a different scenario. We remember in 2010-11 there was a line of customers who switched to diesel cars as the price difference was almost Rs 25 a litre.

There are also other factors where a petrol car wins. For instance the number of kilometers you travel, maintainance of a petrol car and the price of the petrol car compared to diesel cars. The matter of fact is the first glance is given to the pricing of the fuel.
