Chevrolet Vehicles To Cost More Starting From June

"We have decided to increase the prices of all our vehicles up to Rs 10,000, depending upon the model, with effect from the first week of June on account of increase in transportation costs/logistics due to hike in diesel price. In percentage terms, the increase goes up to 1.5 percent depending on the model," said P Balendran, vice president, GM India.
The price hike will affect all Chevy models in India, from the low cost Spark small car, the newly launched Enjoy MPV to the top end Captiva.
The price hike could hit Chevrolet badly which has not been doing too well against the competition. Both the Spark and Beat have taken a beating recently with the coming of the new Alto and the Brio hatchback. Enjoy MPV is currently Chevrolet's best bet in the growing MPV market, but even here the going is tough against the Ertiga and possibly in the future, the Honda Brio MPV.
