GM Updates Website With Chevrolet Captiva Facelift

Amidst all the troubles GM India is presently facing it has managed to introduce the Chevrolet Captiva facelift in India, but it decided to do so with zero fanfare. The only indication is the updated Chevy website. We do, however, expect GM to run a few ads, advertising the arrival of the facelift in the next few days.

The updated Chevrolet Captiva was revealed in March this year at the Geneva motor Show and was subsequently launched in Europe. The vehicle, which features few design changes over its predecessor, but does introduce a new engine, is also available in South Korea. Here is what new about the facelift.

Exterior

New are the bumpers, front and rear and so is the front grille pattern. The rear bumper now comes with integrated exhaust tips.

Also seen is the new pair of LED lights in the brake light cluster. The facelift also features a new fog lamp housing. Lastly, the 18 inch alloys wheels features a new design.

Interior

Interior changes have been kept minimal to new fabric for the seats, a new multimedia display and revised ambient lighting.

Features

The Captiva premium SUV offers a wide range of amenities which include rain sensing wipers, dual zone climate control, eight speaker audio system and automatic level ride suspension. No compromises have been made in terms of safety and both trims come loaded with the same set of features.

Engine

The 2.0 liter diesel has made way for a 2.2 liter diesel unit rated at 186.5 PS @ 3800 rpm and 424 NM torque @ 2000 rpm. The new engine comes mated to a 6 speed transmission, which is offered in manual (2WD) and automatic (adaptive all-wheel drive) configurations. The manual delivers 14.6 Kmpl and the automatic manages 12.12 Kmpl.
