Kardashians Consider Legal Action Against Ford Ad

Ford's troubles might not be over still as the Kardashians sisters are now contemplating legal action against the ‘vile' Ford Figo ad featuring Paris Hilton and three sisters - Kourtney, Kim and Khloe - bound and gagged in the back.

A series of Ford Figo ads made headlines worldwide in March 2013 due to their controversial and sexist nature. The print ads were created by a young team of designers at JWT India, a part of the WPP Group advertising and marketing agency, and were uploaded on the internet without consent from either the client, Ford or the agency.

The series consists of three ads, all of which picture bound and gagged people dumped in the Ford Figo's boot. The ads were meant to emphasise on Figo's spacious cargo bay and ran the tagline "Leave your worries behind with Figo's extra-large boot."

The first ad featured former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi and three women in the boot, the second featured the Kardashians sisters and the last showed F1 legend Michael Schumacher with Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso tied up in the boot.

Both Ford and the advertising agency JWT/WPP have since released formal apologies and have even taken action against key people in their respective agency. However, the uproar created over the ads, which were never launched, have echoed far and wide.
