Ford EcoSport Panther Black Titanium Limited Edition Appears In Europe

For Ford, India is a major base from where it exports the international variants of the EcoSport compact SUV. UK included. The first of these India built vehicles will starting hitting the streets from early next year.

At the ongoing IFA Consumer electronics show in Berlin Ford announced the details of the Euro spec EcoSport, bookings for which will start with a limited edition model of the EcoSport. Dubbed Panther Black, this model will be limited to just 500 units and will be released only in the Titanium trim.

It is clear from the image that the limited edition EcoSport gets its name from the exclusive ‘black' paint that the car sports. While the regular EcoSport comes with 16 inch alloys, the limited edition model will have 17 inch wheels.

Also exclusive to the Panther Black version of the EcoSport will be leather interiors and a special Ford SYNC AppLink package. At a later point Ford will provide the limited edition models with an app bundle, compatible with the SYNC system and 12 months of unlimited audio book downloads from Audioteka.

Interestingly, the EcoSport Panther Black limited edition can only be booked via Ford's Facebook page. Out of the 500, only 120 units have been allotted for UK buyers though. While the regular EcoSport range in UK starts at £14,995 (INR 15.69 lakhs), the limited edition model costs £16,995 (INR 17.78 lakhs).
