Ford EcoSport To Be Publicly Unveiled In India

Ford EcoSport has been shown to the public plenty of times before. After its initial global unveiling at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo Ford's compact SUV, in concept form, was displayed in some malls in India last year. Globally, the EcoSport has been a part of many auto shows, including Paris, Detroit and now Geneva. Ford showcased the EcoSport even at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.

While the global audience has had several chances to see the European spec production EcoSport model, Indians, including the media has not had a chance to see the production version of the Indian spec EcoSport.

It now looks like Ford has decided to jump the media and directly give the consumers the first official look at its compact SUV. Several consumers across India have received email invitations from Ford to public launch events that will be held all over the country, in shopping malls.

The first of these launch events will take place in Mumbai's Infinity Mall in Malad West. The Ford EcoSport will be on display from 15th till 17th March. RushLane has also learnt from one of its readers that Bangaloreans will be able to see the EcoSport at Mantri Mall, Malleshwaram from 28th till 30th March.

Ford EcoSport will be the automaker's first vehicle in India to offer the EcoBoost engine, which promises high performance while offering good fuel economy and low emissions.
