Ford EcoSport Bookings Now Open
Though Ford has not yet announced the exact launch date for the EcoSport it will be sometime in the first or second week of June. While technical details about the EcoSport have been known for long, the one crucial piece of information still hidden are the pricing details, which will only be revealed upon launch.
Ford EcoSport will be offered in Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Optional variants. Engine on offer will be a diesel 1.5 Liter TDCI turbo unit, a 1.5 liter Ti-VCT petrol unit and the 1.0 liter EcoBoost turbo petrol engine. The diesel engine will be mated only to a 5 speed manual transmission, while the 1.5 petrol engine will also have the option of a 6 speed PowerShift dual clutch automatic transmission. The EcoBoost engine will be limited to the 5 speed manual as well.
Power and torque delivered are as follows: 89 HP and 204 Nm torque from the diesel engine, 110 HP and 140 Nm from the 1.5 liter petrol engine and 122 HP and 170 Nm from the EcoBoost. Mileage figures are as follows: 22.7 kmpl from the diesel, 15.8 kmpl from the 1.5 petrol unit mated to the 5 speed manual and 18.9 kmpl from the EcoBoost unit.
