Fiat Linea Classic Price, Features, Specs & Other Details
At a time when most Indian car manufacturers are fixated towards making compact cars, Fiat has made an unusual, but sound decision of marketing its new car as the longest car in the segment (4560mm). Fiat Linea, minus the amenities has resulted in the Linea Classic ‘budget sedan' that can compete with sub-4 meter compact cars.
While the regular Linea lineup starts at INR 7.12 lakhs, Linea Classic range begins at INR 5.99 lakhs. The range includes Linea Classic and Classic+. The former comes with both a detuned 1.4 liter F.I.R.E petrol and 1.3 liter Multijet Turbo diesel, while the latter only gets the diesel engine.
Engine
75 BHP, 1.4 liter F.I.R.E petrol unit remains unchanged
1.3 liter Multijet turbo diesel: Features the same specs as in the Punto hatch.
Fixed Geometry Turbo results in 75 PS power and 190 Nm of torque. That's down from 90 PS power and 209 Nm torque delivered by the regular Linea diesel with Variable Geometry Turbo.
Exterior
From the outside the Linea Classic looks mostly the same. Except for the missing premium features, which are: Chrome inserts on the grille and door handles and fog lamps.
15 inch alloy wheels have made way for 14 inch non-alloy wheels
Lastly, you'll see a ‘Classic' badge on the boot lid.
Interior
Gone is the premium beige finish on the dash. In its place comes the black plastic finish dashboard from the Punto.
Missing features include: Automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, front armrest and electronic ORVM.
