Fiat 500L Living Seven Seater MPV Launched

Fiat has revealed a new seven seater MPV based on its 500 hatchback. While the 500L is an extended version of the 500, with a seating capacity for 5 adults, the 500L Living, as the new model is called, gains about 8 inches to provide 5 + 2 seating configuration.

Let us tell you first that Fiat has no known plans to introduce the 500L Living in India. Having said that, we wish we could have it. Lets be honest, as popular as the Toyota Innova is in India, we are all a little bored of it now.

So what does the Fiat 500L Living has which is better than Innova. Virtually everything. Lets start with the design. The classic Fiat 500 design is chic and then there is the configurability that Fiat will provide.

To be offered in two trims - Pop Star and Lounge - the 500L Living will be available in 19 body colours, which can be had in 11 two-tone combinations. There are 6 interior trims to choose from and 15 types of alloys wheels and hubcaps. The final count after taking into account all the permutations and combinations stands at 282. That is a lot!

Fiat 500L Living is only slightly smaller than the Innova, which is not necessarily a bad thing. With the rear seats folded, the boot gets a capacity of 637 liters.

Fiat 500L Living will be available with two petrol engine options - 95 HP 1.4 16v and 105 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo units, and two turbocharged diesel units - 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet II and 85 HP 1.3 MultiJet II, with the option of an automatic transmission.

Ford 500L Living will be available for booking in European countries from July.
