Eicher Sales Drops By 18.8 Percent

Following the general downward trend in the market, commercial vehicle manufacturer Eicher saw sales down by 18.8 percent. While the company sold 4064 units in June 2012, only 3302 units were sold in June 2013. Sales drop was witnessed even when looked at year to year sales. Last year to date 2012 sales stood at 26059 units, which was 23294 in year to date 2013, which accounts to a drop of 10.6 percent. Details are in the press release below.

Eicher sells 3302 units in June 2013

The following are the key highlights for June 2013

Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3302 units in June 2013 as compared to 4064 units in June 2012, representing a drop of 18.8%. The YTD 2013 calendar year sales of Eicher branded trucks and buses stand at 23294 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 26059 units, representing a drop of 10.6%.
In the domestic CV Market ( 5T and Above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3090 units as compared to 3767 units in June 2012, representing a drop of 18%. YTD 2013 domestic sales for Eicher trucks and buses stand at 22280 units as compared to 2012 sales of 24685 units, representing a drop of 9.7%.

1. In domestic 5-14t LMD trucks, Eicher has recorded sales of 1765 units as compared to 2195 units in June 2012, representing a drop of 19.6%. YTD June 2013 sales stand at 13365 units as compared to 15662 units LYTD June 2012, representing a drop of 14.7%

2. In the domestic Bus segment, the June 2013 sales stand at 957 units as compared to 1049 units in June 2012 representing a 8.8 % decline. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 5517 units as compared to YTD 2012 sales of 4826 units, representing a 14.3% growth.

3. In the Heavy Duty truck segment(16t and above), the sales stand at 368 units as compared to 523 units in June 2012, representing a 29.6% drop. YTD Eicher HD sales stand at 3398 units as compared to 4197 units in 2012, representing a drop of 19%.
