Eicher Releases Sales Figures For Feb 2013

Eicher Motors Limited, the Gurgaon based commercial vehicle manufacturer has released it sales figures for the month of February 2013, which reveals the company has managed to sell 3690 units. This is actually a drop in sales when compared against sales figures from February 2012, when it had managed to sell 4436 units. The company has witnessed a drop of 16.8 percent. Total sales figures for 2013 stands at 7426 units as against 8144 units in 2012, representing a drop of 8.8 percent.

The following are the key highlights for Feb 2013:

"In the domestic CV Market (5T and Above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3538 units as compared to 4186 units in Feb 2012, representing a drop of 15.5%. YTD 2013 sales stand at 7176 units as compared to YTD 2012 sales of 7737 units, representing a drop of 7.3%."

In the Light and medium duty truck segment (5-14T), the sales stand at 2361 units as against 2994 units in Feb 2012, representing a drop of 21.1%. YTD 2013 sales stand at 4819 units as compared to YTD 2012 sales of 5601 units, representing a drop of 14%.
In the bus segment, the Feb 2013 sales stand at 618 units as compared to 598 units in Feb 2012 representing a growth of 3.3%. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 1124 units as compared to YTD 2012 sales of 963 units, representing a growth of 16.7%.
In the heavy duty truck segment, the sales stand at 559 units as against 594 units in Feb 2012, representing a drop of 5.9%. YTD Eicher HD sales stand at 1233 units as compared to YTD 2012 sales of 1173 units, representing a growth of 5.1%.
