Eicher Sales Fall Back By 7 Percent In April

Eicher, the large commercial vehicle manufacturer witnessed a drop in sales during the month of April. Sales went down from 4213 units in March to 3917 units in April, which is a slide of 7 percent. Even when compared to last year to date sales from 2012, the numbers are down from 16305 units to 18408 units, which is a decline of 11.4 percent. Eicher sells 3917 units in April 2013

The following are the key highlights for April 2013:

· Eicher branded trucks and buses have registered sales of 3917 units in April 2013 as compared to 4213 units in April 2012, representing a drop of 7%.. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 16305 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 18408 units, representing a drop of 11.4%.

· In the domestic CV Market (5T and Above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3766 units as compared to 3963 units in April 2012, representing a drop of 5%. YTD 2013 sales stand at 15702 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 17486 units, representing a drop of 10.2%.

1. In the domestic 5-14T LMD truck segment, Eicher recorded sales of 2126 units in April 2013 as compared to 2379 units in April 2012, representing a drop of 10.6%. YTD 2013 sales stand at 9767 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 11568 units, representing a drop of 15.6%

2. In the domestic bus segment, April 2013 sales stand at 1134 units as compared to 802 units in April 2012, representing a 41.4 % growth.. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 3320 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 2845 units, representing a 16.7% growth.

3. In the Heavy Duty truck segment(16T and above), April 2013 sales stand at 506 units as compared to 782 units in April 2012, representing a 35.3% drop. YTD 2013 Eicher HD sales stand at 2615 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 3073 units, representing a drop of 14.9%.
