Datsun GO To Be Sold In Nissan Dealerships
The first model from Nissan's Datsun brand, the Go hatchback, will be launched at the Auto Expo in Feb, 2014 and the new budget car should hit the roads in the next few weeks.
However, Go hatchbacks will roll out from Nissan Motor India's existing dealerships rather than dedicated Datsun showrooms. This was confirmed by Vincent Cobee, global head of Datsun, who stated the following:

"Selling the Datsun GO and future Datsun models through Nissan Motor represents a natural evolution of the company's operations in India, which are well recognised in the market. We are excited about launching the iconic Datsun brand in India and look forward to bringing a growing range of bespoke, locally-produced products and high level services to our customers."
Selling Datsun branded cars through Nissan's dealer network may not seem like the right move considering Datsun is a separate brand with a different philosophy. The Go hatchback will be a sub INR 4 lakh car. All Datsun models will also be entry level vehicles in their respective segments, whereas Nissan is not a recognized brand among the target group of customers.

However, at the movement it is the only sensible thing to do since the parent company already has a well established dealer and service network. This will allow Datsun to expand rapidly in a relatively short period of time. In fact, selling Datsun vehicles at Nissan dealerships could turn out to have a positive effect on Nissan itself, by giving the brand better exposure.
Later in 2014 Datsun will also bring out its GO based MPV, called GO+, which is expected to be the most affordable MPV on offer in the country.
