Chevrolet Sail Sedan Previewed Before Launch
Chevrolet India's first launch for 2013 will mark the arrival of yet another sedan that has spawned out of a hatchback. The upcoming Sail sedan is the sedan version of the recently launched Sail U-VA and is expected to be powered by the same petrol and diesel engines found in the hatchback.

The Chevrolet Sail Sedan will be available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that deliver a peak power of 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. The Sail's diesel variant is powered by a 76bhp turbocharged 1.3-litre engine that cranks out 205Nm of torque. Apart from the technical similarities, the Sail sedan will also share the interior fittings and other features.
Chevrolet has designed the Sail sedan as well as the Sail U-Va primarily for the Chinese market. This means the rear leg room will be more than sufficient considering the Chinese prefer more space in the rear cabin. The rear leg room and space will definitely win brownie points from Indian car buyers too.
The Sail has emerged as the second highest selling car in China and Chevrolet India will definitely be confident about it. For those interested in safety, the Chevrolet Sail sedan will be equipped with ABS, EBD and dual air bags.
