Chevrolet Sail Sedan Gets Over 1,000 Bookings

Chevrolet India has another winner in its hands. Within a week of launching the Sail Sedan Chevrolet has received more than 1,000 bookings. The bookings for the Sail Sedan is not surprising considering its price has been kept at a very aggressive levels.

The Chevrolet Sail sedan's bookings were open a few days before the launch too. Drivespark had revealed this on January 28th three days before the Sail sedan's launch. We have now come to know that much of the bookings for the Sail Sedan were received much before its launch.

More than 800 Chevrolet Sail sedans were booked before the launch. Diesel variants of the Chevrolet Sail sedan attracted more bookings than the petrol variants. Chevrolet India received 638 bookings for the diesel variant and 198 bookings for the petrol.

Chevrolet launched the Sail sedan on 1st February with the base petrol variant priced at INR 4.99 lakhs. The entry level diesel variant is priced at INR 6.29 lakhs.

One reason for the Chevrolet Sail Sedan's bookings going great guns is its price. The other factor is the impressive mileage claimed by Chevrolet India. The Sail sedan's petrol variant's mileage is 18.2kmpl while the diesel variant's mileage is 22.1kmpl.
