Chevrolet Free Car Pickup & Drop Service For Women
Many organizations announced various schemes and new initiatives in honour of women on the occasion of International Women's day on March 8th. General Motors India was no different. The automaker announced a very useful and novel service for female owners of GM cars.
Starting from March 8th GM cars registered to women owners will be provided free pickup and drop facility to service points. The facility will be provided for both regular service and maintenance repairs and female owners only need to book a service appointment in advance to avail it.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Lowell Paddock, President and Managing Director, GM India said, "The advancement of women is of prime importance to the economy, business and society. The support of corporate organisations to women is important and imperative. Today is a great opportunity for us to introduce the scheme as a small step to enhance the Chevrolet vehicles ownership experience of our lady customers and salute the spirit of womanhood."
This not the first public welfare initiative being taken by General Motors India. Since GMs entry into India the car manufacturer has taken several measures to improve the life of people in around its manufacturing facilities and technical centers in Halol, Talegaon and Bangalore. These include providing better shelter for the financially weaker sections of society, carrying out road safety and environment friendly programmes, providing health care aids, community development programmers, AIDS awareness and more.
