Aston Martin Rapide Jet 2+2 By Bertone

On occasion of its centenary Aston Martin announced at the beginning of the year about its year long celebrations. Indecently, this year also marks the British's automakers 60 years of association with Italian car designing and coachbuilding company Gruppo Bertone. To mark the occasion, Bertone and Aston have developed a one-off shooting brake version of Rapide.

Aston Martin Rapide Jet 2+2, as it is called, could be called the next iteration of the 2004 Vanquish-based Bertone Jet 2, which itself was built to provide a modern representation of the Aston Martin DB4 GT Bertone Jet from the 1961. While a newer version of Rapide S is scheduled to be released this year, with a new 550 HP, V12 engine, the Bertone Rapide Jet 2+2 still gets only the existing 470 HP, 5.9 liter V12, driving the rear wheels.

Apart from a shooting brake design, which provides more interior space, the Rapide Jet 2+2 differs from the regular Rapide in a few ways such as, a bespoke exterior paint finish and a refined interior two tone upholstery.

Aston Martin Rapide Jet 2+2 one-off was commissioned by an Aston customer and will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, along with the new Rapide S.
