All New Hyundai Genesis Renderings Revealed In Korea
The next generation Hyundai Genesis, the South Korean automaker's flagship premium sedan was revealed in its home country for the first time. Not the actual car, but the first official renderings.
Looking at the car one immediately realises where Hyundai aims to go with the new Genesis. The sedan's design is instantly familiar as it brings to mind the Audis and Mercs from Germany. Its not a bad thing either since the car does manage to maintain its individual style quite well.
The new Genesis is based on Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, recognized by the classy, singular flowing design, coupe like roofline, Hyundai's choice of colour and the prominent grille.

Hyundai describes the car's strengths as being, "Premium and distinctive design, best-in-class chassis system, premium European brands' level of driving and R&H performance, cutting-edge safety and convenience features."
Mechanically, Hyundai puts emphasis on the work that has gone into the development of the new Genesis. The design takes care of both functional improvements as well as safety characteristics of the new Genesis by incorporating manufacturing processes such as use of ultra-high-strength steel, hot-stamping and double-section structure on the front, partitioned engine room design as well as improved rear and center floor structures.

Cornering stability of the new Genesis has been improved by the use of Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC), while Rack-mounted Motor Driven Electric Power Steering (R-MDPS) greatly aids in providing high speed stability and increased response at low and medium speeds.
Last but not the least, the automaker's 'HTRAC' all-wheel drive system will be provided as an optional feature for the first time in a Hyundai ever.
2015 Hyundai Genesis will make its first physical public appearance at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show early next year.
