2014 Volvo XC60, Volvo S60 Facelifts Launched; Price & Other Details

Volvo has launched the 2014 facelifted S60 saloon and XC60 crossover in India. The two updated models which debuted earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show wear the new Volvo family design features and come with a few other minor changes, but remains about the same mechanically.

Price of the 2014 Volvo XC60 crossover starts at INR 40.5 lakhs and that of the S60 sedan starts at 29.9 lakhs. Both vehicles are available in three trims and two engine options - both diesel. The more powerful 300PS T6 petrol engine from the S60 lineup has been discontinued.

Styling changes come in the form of a wider body design, including a wider grille, a new bumper design and new wider dual exhaust outlets. The headlights have a thinner profile and look swept back, which add a whole new look the cars.

On the inside, there is a 7 inch gloves friendly touchscreen. The TFT instrument panel comes with Volvo Adaptive Digital Display feature which debuted in India with the Volvo V40 Cross country. It provides three themes (Elegance, ECO and Performance). The seats get new sport leather covers and the steering wheels come with paddle shifters in the automatic transmission variant.

Volvo has also updated its City Safety feature, which now functions up to a speed of 50 km/h. The automatic braking system works by pre tensioning the breaks upon detecting an obstacle.

Both the S60 and the XC60 are available with a 2.0 liter D4 diesel rated at 163 PS power and 400 Nm torque and a 2.4 liter D5 diesel rated 215 PS power and 420 Nm torque.
