Land Rover claims the new Evoque will deliver an average improvement in fuel economy and carbon emissions of 11.4 percent and 9.5 percent respectively. The most efficient variant running the 2.2 liter diesel engine rated at 148 HP engine will offer an average mileage of 24.48 km/l and 129g/km CO2 emissions.
Active Driveline
This is an optional feature, which brings in automatic switching between all-wheel and front wheel drive configurations. When driving at a constant speed of 35 km/h or above front wheel drive is activated. When the driving condition changes, Active Driveline system takes just 300 ms to switch back to all-wheel drive mode.
Active Torque Biasing
Part of the Active Driveline feature, Active Torque Biasing is an electronic differential that distributes torque between the rear wheels for better grip on the road.
Torque Vectoring
This is a separate feature that will be on offer as standard. This works by distributing brake force among all four wheels, thus helping in keeping understeering and oversteering under check.
2014 Evoque will also bring a list of standard and optional luxury and safety features as well as design changes such as new alloy wheels, new colours etc.
