Dacia Duster Facelift Confirmed For Frankfurt
The current generation Dacia Duster or Renault Duster as we know it, was first revealed back during the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. The globally successful compact SUV has since gone to break sales records within Renault and is at present, the best selling Renault model in the world.
Despite its success the compact SUV has gone on without any change for long enough and if has to remain competitive in the face of new launches from rivals such as the Ford EcoSport, a generation jump is necessary. Renault knows this and hence, the 2014 Duster has been prepped.

Statement
"The wraps will come off the latest concept car embodying Renault's vision of the premium automobile. The show will also be an opportunity for visitors to see the six concept cars in the life cycle design strategy together for the very first time," said Renault in a statement.

Changes
At this point Renault does not have much for us apart from those two lines. But from the several spy shots that have been captured over the past few months we can be certain of few changes. A new front grille as per the latest Renault family design, a new bumper, restyled headlights and taillights. The interior could get a little more premium as well, however, the same may not happen with the India specific version.

4X4 perhaps
If we are to expect a more extensive upgrade, extending beyond just cosmetic changes, we would say an engine upgrade could be on the line. But what we really hope for is the introduction of the 4X4 variant for India.

Frankfurt Auto Show
The 2014 Dacia Duster will be revealed at the 65th Frankfurt Auto Show which will begin from September 10.

India launch
Renault will possibly bring the facelifted Duster to India by early or mid 2014. Stay tuned as more details, including official images are expected to hit the net even before the actual reveal.
