2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe Revealed: Images & Details
The all new 2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe, set to replace the 3-Series, has been revealed, along with U.S spec details. The new 4-Series Coupe is sleeker than the outgoing 3-Series since it wears the new gen BMW design theme. All variant specific packages have been carried over from the 3-Series Coupe though.
2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe will be offered in 428i and 435i models, powered by 2.0 liter inline four and 3.0 liter inline six cylinder engines respectively. Both models will be good for BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system. The 428i xDrive comes only with eight speed auto transmission, while the rest get the option of a six speed manual or the eight speed auto.
The 2.0 liter unit is capable of delivering 240 HP and 255 lb-ft of torque. The base 428i does 0-96km/h in under 6 seconds and can attain an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The equivalent figures for the 435i's 3.0 liter unit stand at 300 HP, 300 lb-ft, 5.3 seconds (5 sec flat with the auto box) and 250 km/h.
BMW 4-Series Coupe is an inch longer than the 3-Series (182.6 in), with a 2 inch longer wheelbase (110.6 in). The car is also wider by 1.7 inch (71.9 in), but the overall height has gone down by 0.6 in (53.6 in). The vehicle is available in Sport, Luxury M Sport versions.
