Toyota Corolla Altis Gets New Trims Sans Fanfare

Toyota Kirloskar Motors has added two new variants to its Corolla Altis lineup, while simultaneously removing a third variant. The automaker website has been promptly updated with the new data, but apart from that no indication was given about the changes made.

The two new variants, Toyota Corolla Altis J (S) petrol and diesel have been introduced, while the base ‘J' petrol variant has been removed from the lineup. The new Toyota Corolla Altis J (S) petrol now takes its place and offers additional features such as dual airbags, manual air-con, armrest for the rear seats and touchscreen infotainment system with USB connectivity. Similarly, the Toyota Corolla Altis J (S) diesel brings with it dual air bags, touchscreen infotainment system with USB connectivity.

The 88 PS power, 205 Nm torque, 1.4 liter, four cylinder diesel engine has remain unchanged, whereas the petrol model comes with a 139.9 PS power and 173 Nm torque delivering 1.8 liter 4 cylinder enginemated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
