2013 Tata Nano Coming In July

We have known for sometime now that Tata Motors has been working on the Nano. A new diesel variant is what most of us expected, since this would help with giving sales a boost. Autocar India has learned a new Nano will be launched next month, but without a diesel engine.

The 2013 Tata Nano, however, has been given more than just a visual refresh. The original Nano suffered from a few quality and reliability issues, the clutch for instance. Tata engineers have mainly focused on ironing out these chinks and refining the compact car. Basically, the new Nano should provide a better driving experience. A lighter steering for one, to make parking the vehicle easier.

The visual changes could be few, in the form of chrome styling trims and new air vents. The interior on the other hand is likely to get new electronic amenities such as Bluetooth.

The 623cc, twin-cylinder engine will be the only option, at least for now. A CNG variant and even a diesel one, could make their way out by the end of this year. We'll have to wait and see if Tata Motors has any surprises for us, but we'll not count on it. More details are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
