Chevrolet, the General Motors owned car brand introduced the new upgraded version of the Captiva premium SUV in India in June this year. The face lifted Captiva boasted of several new features and changes to its interior and exterior design. Here is a pictorial review of the new features of the 2012 Chevrolet Captiva.

Some of the most notable features of the new Chevrolet Captiva are its much bolder front grille, clear lens projector head lamps, air dams etc. The 17 inch alloy wheels currently available with the new Captiva adds to the glitz and good looks of the SUV. The wheels also provide the Captive good road grip while driving on off road terrain.

Chevrolet has set the starting price of the new Captiva at Rs. 18.74 lakhs ( ex-showroom price Delhi).

The Chevrolet Captiva competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and Ford Endeavour in its segment. Powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, the Captiva has 150PS of power and 320Nm of torque at its disposal. The engine is paired with either a manual gearbox or an automatic.
The Captiva is also available with a two wheel drive and a four wheel drive system.

The 2012 Chevrolet Captiva is quite spacious. Its has a voluminous boot space of 1565 litres. If that is not enough, you can also fold the rear seat to make room for even more luggage.
